THE SYNAPTIK - CANADA DEBUT - LIVE IN TORONTO
Join us on Thursday, November 7th at Velvet Underground for the debut performance of The Synaptik in Toronto.
The Palestinian-Jordanian rapper is at the forefront of a popular wave of Arabic rap and trap. His distinctive voice and potent lyrics have cemented him as one of the musical trailblazers of the Arabic-speaking world.
Exploring issues such as mental health, migration and social inequality, The Synaptik has taken the region’s pulse and broadcast it worldwide.
Since releasing his first album, Om Al Mawjat, The Synaptik has performed at dozens of local, regional, and international shows and festivals.
AL TAMAN ALBUM (2024)
The Synaptik’s album Al Taman is a coming-of-age journey that captures the introspective style that first drew in his fanbase. Released on August 8, 2024, the twenty-track album chronicles the rapper's progression over the past few years, showcasing his evolution both personally and artistically.
Al Taman blends emotionally resonant music with furious rhymes and masterful storytelling, featuring beatswitches that keep listeners on their toes. The Synaptik poses nuanced dialogue on weighty topics with a nonlinear narrative, which adds depth to the listening experience.
Produced entirely by Wardenclyph, Al Taman features collaborations with a range of rappers and musicians from across the region including: Freek (UAE), Lina Makhoul (Palestine), Al Darwish (Syria), Shbash (Jordan), Odeh (Germany), Kokym (Palestine).
Accompanying the album release is a visual novel featuring nineteen lyric visualizers on The Synaptik’s YouTube page.
